Gerhard Metz, founder of the IST Metz group, died recently in Waren an der Müritz following a short illness. He and his wife, Renata, built the company, which was based in Nürtingen-Zizishausen, into an international UV manufacturer.   Metz always valued a personal touch and knew almost all of his roughly 500 employees by name.
